What are the nine schools of ninjutsu? 🥷 One well-known system has nine traditional schools, called ryuha. Three are ninja schools: Togakure Ryu, Gyokushin Ryu and Kumogakure Ryu. Six are samurai schools: Gyokko Ryu, Koto Ryu, Shinden Fudo Ryu, Takagi Yoshin Ryu, Kukishinden Ryu and Gikan Ryu. Beginners don’t learn them all at once. You build the basics first, then explore the schools over time. Other ninjutsu schools teach different ryuha of their own, so the list can vary.
